The reason I do not sew!!!??!!

What a mess...I decided to try my hand at some stitching.  Well as you can tell the back of this looked like I was in Kindergarten and just learning to use my hands.  There were minimal bad words as I was concentrating all my energy on thread and needle.  Once it was done I did like how it tuned out but it took me as long to add the hair as it did to paint it.

I guess with practice I will be able to do this in less time.  I admire all the stitchers out there that do this kind of thing on a daily basis!!

Just a reminder that today is the last day to leave a comment to Win this Treasury hosted by the OFG team.  The drawing will be tomorrow.  September 1st all ready!!

Good luck and Enjoy your day,

Barb

Turkey, Turkey, Who's got the Turkey!!

I happened to be driving my kids around-all summer- and noticed that just down the street from me was a quilt shop.  So having a few minutes to wait for the kids I decided to just go in and take a look.  Anyone that knows me will know that I am highly "allergic" to needle, thread and material.  But the beautiful colors of the material dragged me in.  Looking around I saw this cute design done as a wall hanging.  I was so intrigued by how cute it was!!  I thought--HMMM--well instead of all the bad words that I would say trying to sew it why not paint it instead.

The pattern is by "Bloomin' Minds" and they have some cute stuff!!

So I am now venturing into fabric stores to find patterns-highly unusual.

This was my listing for the OFG Team Turkey Trot Treasury Giveaway and if you have not left a comment head over there now to do so.  There are some of the cutest Turkeys I have ever seen in that Treasury.  I wish I could win! Good luck to all who leave a comment!!

Enjoy,

Barb
