Clearance Sale in my Shop!

My set up at the Simple Treasures Boutique Show.
It was a great show!
Lots of fun autumn items, it is always great to see what fun items are created by all the local talent.

The show is always decked out and so inviting.
I always forget my camera to take photos of the entrance of the show.
It is awesome.....try to remember next time.

It is hard to believe FALL is officially here!
So it is that time of year were I am seeing all of the year end clearance sales everywhere!
I have decided to do the same...so many things to paint so little room!
The sale is at my Etsy shop and I will be adding items daily to the clearance section.
If you are local drop me a line if you see something you would be interested in and lets make arrangements to meet.
Click HERE to take you to the section of my shop.
Hope you are all enjoying cooler weather and getting ready for the SCARIN' SEASON!!

Back to School!!

Kids are back in school which is a little bitter sweet.
Our summer was a crazy busy one and we only had a few days of play time.
Now that my oldest is a Senior in High School it seems as though it was yesterday I was taking her to Kindergarten!

Now it is time to gear up for the Halloween season.  These are some of the things I painted over the summer in my 15 minutes alone time intervals.

This was a new and exciting type of painting I tried when I had one WHOLE day to myself!
It is a Chris Haughey design I altered to fit on to this pumpkin.
It has been sitting in my stash for quite awhile!
My next local show will be at Simple Treasures in Farmington, September 17-20.
Time to get to work!!
Enjoy your day!

New Banner

My daughter came up with this new banner for my Etsy shop.
I had been working on one for months, finally I gave up.
She had it done in ten minutes...what is wrong with this picture?
She was trying to show me how she did it and was ever so patient teaching me.
But in the end I told her to do what she wanted.
Can I be taught?
She made it look so easy.
I thought at this age I would be dealing out loads of advise and would know a whole lot more then I do.
I guess she can teach me somethings and hopefully I will be able to teach her somethings.
The balance on the internet is totally uneven!
I am hoping to learn......
Wishing you all a learning curve type of day!
Enjoy,
Barb

Happy Pioneer Day!

Many of my ancestors came across the plains and settled in Utah looking for religious freedom.
I am grateful to them and the hardships they endured looking for freedom.
I am also thankful I did not have to do this...I love air conditioning!
Wishing you all a wonderful day!
Enjoy,

Happy Memorial Day!

As many of you know my husband is retired Air Force.
Our kids where born on the Military base.
It was a very difficult way of life.
We got married late in life and after one month of marriage my husband was deployed to Panama for 6 months.
We thought we were in the clear for a while but three months after our daughter was born he was deployed to Saudi Arabia for 6 months that tuned into closer to 8 months.
This was heartbreaking for him to think of having to leave us behind and missing all of the "firsts" our daughter would be doing in her first year of life.
He came home and could not get enough time with our daughter!
Thinking we were in the clear for a while....he got orders to deploy to Turkey.
A country he loves but leaving us behind one more time was next to devastating to him.
He was gone for 7 months.
He retired from the Air Force March of 2011 and when September 11 happened we thought for sure he would be required to re-enlist.
Luckily for us it did not happen.
As Memorial Day rolls around every year I think of his sacrifice to leave us and head over seas.
It was a scary time for me and I would tell him every time to
"RUN, FORREST RUN"
if any shots were fired!
He came home safe.
So many do not and I think of them and their families--HUGE--sacrifice for us in the name of freedom.
THANK YOU is not near enough to convey what these soldiers have done for us but, Thank you!
Wishing all of you a safe and happy Memorial Day!
Enjoy,
Barb
