Time....

Time is one of those things were if something bad is happening you cannot get to a good place fast enough and time seems to drag.

Time also goes so fast when things are going well or you are having fun.

Time seems to be an allusive thing for me.

One minute you have your time mapped out and in an instant of a blink you do not know where the time went!

Any one ever feel this way?

I remember as a kid not being able to wait to go swimming in the 7th grade as part of the gym requirement.

Wishing it would come faster--being in 5th grade and all.

I remember saying this to my dad who replied, "Don't wish your life away."

Being in the art business I have to think ahead so at this time I am painting Halloween and Thanksgiving.

I am trying to enjoy the heat of the summer and the chaos summer brings,

but that allusive time keeps speeding by!

I am hoping your time is not getting away from you as fast as it is for me!

Enjoy your day,

Barb

A Double Thank You and Happy Halloween!!

I have been on a lucky winning streak lately!

I won this cute pillow from By Your Hands Blog made by Colleen of  Needles-n-Pinsstitcheries.

Once my son saw it he claimed it his, because he is the "Pillow King".

When I can't find him I have learned to start looking under piles of  pillows.

My next lucky win was from Pamela of It's Just Frankly Kute.

This fun Halloween Plate from her Blog and this fun little ghost from her Facebook page!

She also added this great material bowl.

Since I try my best not to ever sew this was a really amazing bowl to behold!

Thank You ladies for the fabulous giveaways and for picking my name!

It is always a great time to win a fabulous prize!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN TO ONE AND ALL!

Hope you have an enjoyable candy filled day,

Barb

A Surprise in the Mail!!

LOOK AT HOW CUTE SHE IS!!!

Through Facebook I was able to meet a fabulous gal, Lisa owner and creator of Prim Chick on Etsy.

I have admired her work for a long time.

We were able to chat it up and she gets me...and my "humor".

It is always a great time to see what she is creating and designing.

So much talent!!

The detail on this Fabulous witch is so fun!  I was telling her this looked just like me!

Note the candy in hand--that would be me!

Now to name her....any suggestions?

Happy Halloween!!

Wishing everyone a safe and spooky Happy Halloween!!

Scary...We have Halloween Decorations!

This is a shocker!!

We have Halloween decorations up before the last week!!

So this will be a PHOTO heavy post...because I am not sure this has ever happened.

My attempt to sew...I will stick to painting!

Above is one of my very first things I ever tole painted.

Looking back I had no idea what I was getting into!!

This one needs suckers attached where the holes are but that will not happen this year once again!

We had to decorate around the Lego's!

Every year this little prim pumpkin gets a make over...this year it is Harry Potter complete with scar taped on his head.  One day I am hoping to see him in his natural state!!

Thanks to my kid's who are now old enough to remind me that October will be gone....can we get the decorations out before Thanksgiving?

Enjoy!!

Barb

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

Wishing everyone a safe and Happy Halloween!!

Where did September go??

I am not sure what happened to September?  I seemed to have the whole month ahead of me to paint and be creative because school was starting...but it is gone.  Still behind in so many things.
I have also decided that "Merit Badge" for Scouting is a four letter word.  I think that is were I have spent most of my time.

I decided to go through some of my stash and paint it-so out came some Halloween items that I had even forgot I had.  At least I was able to paint some of this up in the odd 15 minutes here and there.

I hope you all are doing well and are not so busy...What am I talking about!?!  We all seem to be in the same boat!

Enjoy your day!

Barb

Where does the time go?

This summer has seemed to have flown by...all except for the living in my car part.  It dawned on me the other day that it will be Halloween in no time at all.

Needless to say I am yet again behind the curve.  I have really struggled with the lack of any creativity lately.   I was able to paint a couple of things from the cutest quilting book the last couple of days.

I have to thank Ilene of  Happy Valley Primitive for giving me the information about one of her cute pillows.  This in turn lead me to buy Nancy Halovrsen's "Art to Heart" book and get inspired again.

Check out all Ilene's cute creations by clicking on the link above.

This is one of my favorites!!  Thank You Ilene!!

Now I have to get to work and YEA school starts for my kids next week...as the Staples commercial says, "It's the most wonderful time of the year!"

Enjoy,

Barb
