A GREAT NIGHT!!

The big night came and we were ready!
My son just before the His Eagle Court of Honor started.
Brennan and his dad.
Brennan and his Grandpa.
A display of all his accomplishments!
The Welcome table for guests to leave a little note for Brennan.
We used an old farm milk bucket for a water dispenser for refreshments.
Two long tables full of Cookies!
An old canteen, mess kit, pocket utensils, a MRE, and an old lantern were used for the center display on the food table.  Just like you were out in the woods eating!

We had a Trail to Eagle Program and used his troop to help describe each rank and it's requirements and advancements.
His past Scout Master presented him with his Eagle rank and gave him the Eagle Charge.

We are so proud of him and his accomplishment.
Loads of work!  To see what his project was click HERE.
It has been a great learning experience for all of us!
My Family!
The cookies were a hit but I doubt I will be making cookies again for quite awhile!
Thanks for stopping by to see all about my Great Night!
Enjoy your day,
Barb

The day is almost here!

I have now decided that looks are not everything....an oblong cookie taste as good as a square cookie and as good as a round cookie!
After too many batches to count I am done making cookies, probably for the rest of my life.
It is true "The most beautiful things abide in our hearts", no matter the shape or size.
Tomorrow night I will be in heaven knowing that I did the best I could for my son's Eagle Court of Honor and the memory will abide in my heart beautifully.
Keeping this in mind will help me with the finishing touches.
I think it is amazing what people (mother's and father's) will do for the one's they love!
Hope you will find something today that will be beautiful and will abide in your heart forever!
Enjoy,
Barb

Baking...

Well it is not the heat of the season, it is me trying to bake cookies.
For those that know me, my talents are limited...
Sewing and I are not friends,
Cooking and I have issues,
Walking and talking are difficult,
And
Now I can add baking!
I am working on refreshments for my son's Eagle Scout Court of Honor next Sunday.
He did a difficult Eagle project so I figured the least I could do would be to bake cookies.
(Here is were I blame the altitude...right!)
I have spent the last three days baking and now I am hoping some of these cookies are edible.
I did followed the directions to the letter!?!
These look so good!  I borrowed this photo from Pinterest and now will be trying these.
Out of the 10 batches I have made I am hoping that about half will look and taste presentable!
The rejects have been taste tested and we are still alive that is a good thing!
Wish me luck today in the kitchen, and does practice really make perfect?
Enjoy your day,
Barb
