Meet a Multi-Talented Artist!

Meet a very multi-talented Artist Donna of Countryside Cottage.  She has her hands into everything and it all looks so great!  She can do it with paint, fabric, floral...everything!!  Her talent amazes me.  so meet Donna!
1) Your first name and name of your business and how you got your business name?

Hi! I am Donna and Owner of Countryside Cottage. We live on a dead end road in the country, and out any window you see the countryside and I dream of having a little cottage out here to be my studio some day. So thus the name Countryside Cottage, it seemed to work!
2)How long have you been in business?

I have been in the craft business for 18 years. Been on Etsy since August 2010. Really got more serious with painting, the last couple years.
3)Who or what inspires you?

I'm inspired by the outdoors, other artist, books, craft magazines and spending way to much time in
Jo-Anns and Michaels.
4)What is your creative style, primitive, country, folk art?

My style I would have to say all the above, but as I evolve more as an artist myself, I am turning more to the primitive and folk art styles. I love the time worn look of the primitive style
5)What medium do you use in creating, clay, fabric, altered art, wood etc.?

I have used a variety of mediums such as fabric, acrylic paints, upcycled items.
6)What are your links?

Please visit Donna and find out for yourself how endless her talent is!
Enjoy,
Barb

Come meet the Basket Maker!!

Come and meet a fabulous person and basket maker!  Rose!  Baskets by Rose!  One of the nicest people you could ever know!  And her Baskets are FANTASTIC!!

1.  What is your name and how did you come up with your business name?
My business name is Baskets by Rose. I weave basket and my name is Rose. To easy to come up with!

2.  How long have you been in business?
I have been weaving baskets since 1993. I did my first show in 1994 and have grown my business since then. Selling on the web has been fun and I learn something new every day. The best part of selling on the web is that you are selling to the world and not a hand full of people walking pass you at a craft show. The hard part is they cannot pick up a basket and look to see how it is made, or talk to you about your art.

3.  Who or what inspires you?
Other people from painters and the colors they use, to quilters and the color in their work. Look at the colors and add them to your basket. Just have fun making a piece and the happiest will show in your work.
4.  What is your creative style, primitive, country, folkart?
Basket weaving can cover all styles. Just by changing the color you can go from traditional to primitive with the same basket.

5.  What medium do you use in creating, clay, fabric, altered art, wood etc.?
I use reed and wood in my baskets. I make each basket one at a time and no two baskets turn out the same. I also dye my reed and each batch of reed dyes different. I can weave a basket in any color you would like, and some I can change the size on. You will get a basket to fit into your home and that you can enjoy for many years.

6.  What are your links (list your etsy shop, eBay, web site, blogs etc.)

I encourage everyone to take a look at her work.  One day when I grow up I want to learn to do this too!!
Enjoy,
Barb
