Just a few Things....

The Old Farm House Gathering Team is having a Winter Celebration.  So many great things to help you decorate for Winter.  Which is just around the corner!  Type in WWHOFG in the search bar on Etsy or click on the photo above to take you directly to the page.

Ami of Folk Art and Primitives is a fairly new member to the Primitive and Folk Artist Team and has some of the cutest creations!!  She is also having a 20% off sale right now!  You will need to go check out all of her goodies!

At present my Etsy shop is closed and I am doing a local show called "Simple Treasures" in Farmington for anyone that is close by or looking for a road trip.  Jennie the owner does a fantastic job with this show!  Just setting up yesterday I saw tons of fun decorating goodies!!  There is also a $50.00 Gift Certificate giveaway going on right now.  Click on the flyer to take you to her page.
Needless to say I forgot my camera so I do not have any photos to show.  It would be a miracle if I could remember to carry that with me.
In the mean time back to painting!!
Enjoy,
Barb

Bifocals---WHAT!?!

I found these small witches in my stash and decided to paint them.  Well little did I realize that I would not be able to see them let alone paint them without BIFOCALS!!..  I had gone to the eye doctor because I was having problems seeing the street signs while driving so he increased my long distance vision but now to paint my arms are not long enough.  To think I use to laugh at my mom and aunts that would stand up from the table to read the fine print on the newspaper while looking down!
The things that use to be so easy are now becoming a problem.  I guess that goes with aging.
I have worn contacts for so many years I am not sure how to wear glasses.  Needless to say I am now the woman looking around for my glasses while they are sitting on my head.

I better paint all the small things quickly before it is all over!!
Hope you are enjoying your day.

It's that Time of Year!!

It's that time of year for Craft Shows.  I will be doing Simple Treasures in Farmington at the Davis County Fair Grounds Sept 21-24.  Click on the link above to take you to their page.  There will be $50.00 gift certificates drawn every Wednesday for you to spend at the show.  There will also be giveaways listed soon.  It is one of the best shows in northern Utah.  Loads of talented folk come to sell their wares!
I have been so behind that I need to get to work.  It did not pay for me to take a break this summer. Got to start painting double time!!
If you live near by I hope you will take some time to visit this show!
Enjoy,
Barb

Happy Labor Day!!

Here is hoping that everyone of my friends will enjoy this last weekend of Summer!!
We will be taking the day off after we put out flags for the Boy Scouts (at 7am), harvest all the veggies from the garden, make salsa, zucchini brownies, cabbage salad and a veggie tray.  Then head to my folks home to party and BBQ with cousins.  There we will grind wheat, pick the pears and any cucumbers, tomatos and corn that might be left in the patch.
Once home take down the flags (at 7pm) and process the corn and any stray vegetables that will need to be attended too.
Whewww...need a day off!
Enjoy your holiday,
Barb
