WINNERS!!I

Thank you for all the sweet comments about my daughter and her new do!
She loves not having all the weight of her hair!

Thanks to all of you that stopped by and commented on my giveaway and for sharing it.
I appreciate all of you!
I used random.org and the first winner for the star goes to Karen of Buttons in the Attic.
The second winner of the "Christmas in my Heart all Year Long" ornament goes to Tonya of Friendship Crossing.
Then just for fun this Patriotic metal flag goes to Carol of Firecracker Kid.
I will get a hold of all you gals so I can get your address.  If you do not hear from me in the next day or two please contact me through my Etsy shop.  Thanks.
I so appreciate all of you that follow along...even if it so boring you have to yawn.  Don't blame you there!

Etsy, site wide, has a "Christmas in July" sale so I will be sharing some details about that soon!
This is differently the time to do your Christmas shopping!

Now back to harvesting peas, beets, cherries and spinach.
Good thing I have young teens around to help me out because I am feeling my age today!
Enjoy your day,
Barb

SHOCK AND AWE!!

My daughter has donated her hair before to the "Locks of Love" program so when she started talking about it again I said "Go for it"!
 Before...
 AFTER...
I did not realize she would want to go this short.  The last time she did it her hair was almost to her waist so I was a bit concerned about her hair not being long enough...guess it was!!
When I went to pick her up after I did all the errands I barely recognized her!
She loves it!  Her hair is really thick and heavy so perfect timing with the summer ahead.
I think I will recover but this is such a drastic thing for her to do I am still in SHOCK!

Just a reminder about my latest giveaway--sign ups end June 23 with a winner announced on the 24th!

Enjoy your day,

A Celebration Giveaway!

 Time to Celebrate!!
We survived the physical labor of the Eagle Scout Project...now on to the paperwork!
It was a great experience and we were up there to see the plants are growing and thriving!
Success!!
Then survived another Birthday.  Thank you all for the best wishes for another year!
But I am curious about how come I am getting older by not wiser??
It is sad when you have to have your teenagers explain so many things to you....
Today got a Boy Scout off to a week long camp.  This is a load of work and I worry while he is gone.
I am not sure how my mom survived 4 boys and 4 girls doing scouting, 4-H, and school.
I hope to make it through my two kids.

So to CELEBRATE I will be giving one of these Patriotic stars away to a follower of my blog.
You can read about the description HERE.
I have the best time painting these and they are truly one of my favorite things.  I think I already had a giveaway once before for one of these but when you like it what can you say!?!
Also with keeping Christmas in my heart all year this fun little snowman ornament will be given away to a winner.  I love the purple shades--for some reason they make me happy!
The Rules:
Be a follower of my blog and leave a comment on this post.
New followers always welcome.
Leave a way for me to contact you if you do not have a blog.
If you would like to share this giveaway I would appreciate it!
Winners will be picked on June 23rd and announced on the 24th.
Might even be an extra little something patriotic related for another follower so you have to stay tuned.
Open to all USA and Canadian friends.
Good Luck to all!
Thank you to all who follow my blog I truly appreciate you all.
Enjoy your day,
Barb

Happy Flag Day!!

HAPPY FLAG DAY!!!
I am not sure where the time went this last few weeks but it has come and gone in a flurry of activity!
Eagle Scout project done except for the paper work.  School out, but my daughter is taking a class to prepare for the ACT test she will be taking next year.  Then there is Scout camp, girls camp, and just trying to keep the weeds at bay in the garden.
It is a busy time of year.
Hope you are all doing well, staying busy and having a few minutes here and there to create something fun...even if it is just memories!
Enjoy,
Barb
