A Surprise in the Mail!!

Through Facebook I was able to meet a fabulous gal, Lisa owner and creator of Prim Chick on Etsy.
I have admired her work for a long time.
We were able to chat it up and she gets me...and my "humor".
It is always a great time to see what she is creating and designing.
So much talent!!
The detail on this Fabulous witch is so fun!  I was telling her this looked just like me!
Note the candy in hand--that would be me!
Now to name her....any suggestions?
You will have to check out Lisa's other creations here:
I LOVE her creativity.  Take a look at her Penguins.
Don't they just bring a smile to your face?
Take a look at the names she gives her designs---that is a sign of a brilliant mind!!
This will be a year round decoration!
Now off to be as creative as Lisa...well I can dream!
Enjoy your day,

A Day to Remember...

I am sure we all know where we were and what we were doing 9/11/01.
My daughter started pre-school that day and my husband had just retired from the Air Force a few months earlier.  I was sure he would be recalled and was not looking forward to that phone call.
I remember the city of  Las Vegas being so quite with no aircraft in the air.
It was an eerie strange day.
I was so thankful my husband was not recalled back to the military and luckily for me I did not have any direct connection to anyone who had lost their life that day.
But still a sad and devastating day.
To honor all the victims of Patriot's Day I will be giving away one of these painted flags to anyone who leaves a comment on my blog today telling me what was their feeling of that day or what stands out in their mind the most about this event.
This giveaway will end tonight at midnight MST (Mountain Time).
I will use to pick from the comments.
The winner will be announced tomorrow.
Remember the past but enjoy today,

I was the lucky winner of the By Your Hands blog giveaway!!!
Deena of Ewe-n-Me Printables is the creator of this FABULOUS new look.
Poor Deena got a work out on having me win this.
As you all know I am a chicken at heart and change is a BIG thing for me.  She was so nice and professional helping this scaredy cat through this process.  She installed it for me.  I really did nothing but she did teach me about backing up my blog and I was able to do that all by myself!
I think my blog looks GREAT!
Deena is also the creator of all the Old Farmhouse Graphics when we have celebrations and other team announcements that require a graphic!
I will be using Deena for a "Face-lift" on my blog and Etsy store banners and avatars in the near future!
So this could be a great new learning curve for me!!
Deena has a number of places to be found:
Please check out all Deena has to offer and let me know what you think of this "Good Looking" Blog
Happy Fall to All!

Fall Frolic Celebration Coming Soon!

The Old Farmhouse Gathering Team will be kicking off their Fall Frolic Celebration September 16th.
This means new creations to make and list on Etsy!
I have been a bit overwhelmed with kids back to school and canning that I hope to make the dead line!
Have a plan just need to paint!
My daughter is a FCCLA officer and on the National Honor Society teams, my son was elected from his Scout troop to be in the Order of the Arrow for Boy Scouts so this has kept me hopping and living in my car yet again.
Teenagers are a lot of work!
Here is hoping to paint today!
