About 3 months ago I was doing step aerobics at 5:30 am, not my most productive hour,
and apparently stepped on the step wrong twisting my knee. It ached a bit but I thought nothing of it. Later it started to ache at night so I decide to do some ice/heat therapy and use a brace while exercising.
While cooking dinner one night I turned just right and I heard and felt a pop and click. Not a good sign.
I had an MRI and sure enough had a medial meniscus tear. I had arthroscopic knee surgery to repair this pain on Wednesday. It has been a rough couple of days but hopefully I will be back to my routine in no time.
So the lesson to be learned here is two fold:
Be completely awake before you do step aerobics.
And it does not pay to cook dinner!
Enjoy your day!
Barb
LOL... I'd use that for an excuse to get out of cooking dinner! Oh, I'm glad you've gotten it repaired. Now waiting for the pain to go away:) Well wishes sweety:)

Ooooo....OUCH!! See! I knew cooking was a dangerous job!! That's exactly why I avoid it whenever possible! ;o) Poor, poor you....My son has the same issue - plus there's something that causes he knee cap to just pop out of the socket and fill with blood and fluid. He's supposed to have surgery on it - but it will be major and he'll be immobile for quite a length of time. Needless to say, he's been putting it off....Hope you heal quickly and completely! (And, if I were you, I'd give up exercise AND cooking altogether!) Have a great weekend (all things considered!) Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin
ReplyDeleteOh Barb the thought of that makes me ache real bad and I don't need any help with that one, with the arthritis I have in my left hip knee and ankle I already hurt bad enough.
ReplyDeleteHope you are on the mend soon and I will have to let hubby know it does not pay to cook because it may make my pain worse LOL...........so sounds like he needs to grill for a few weeks to me!!
