A Give Away and an Eagle Scout Project

We have been busy here getting ready to help my son do his Eagle Scout Project.
Loads of paperwork, contacting people, arranging for supplies and tools, arranging times, the list goes on and on.  Tomorrow we will head to the Utah Veteran's Nursing Home and start working in their garden beds and getting them ready to plant.  Then the following week we will go back up and help the residents plant their plants.  I think it is a good thing for the folks up there to have something to do and show for it.
Good for the Scouts to help them out too.

With all this going on I did not want to forget my New Years resolution of trying to keep Christmas in my heart this whole year.
In honor of the Scouting project I will be having a giveaway of  this boy looking Santa ornament.
(It kinda reminds me of my son.  He too wears his heart on his sleeve--luckily not on his beard yet.)

The Rules:
Be a follower of my blog and leave a comment on this post.
New followers always welcome.
Leave a way for me to contact you if you do not have a blog.
If you would like to share this giveaway I would appreciate it!
A winner will be picked on May 17 and announced on the 18th.
Might even be an extra little something Spring related for another follower so you have to stay tuned.
Open to all USA and Canadian friends.
Good Luck to all!
Now off to do more work.....hopefully related more to painting then the project for a little bit.
Enjoy your day,
Barb

  5. What a cute ornament, Barb! I will share on my blog.
My fingers are itching to dig in the dirt, but it is still too cool at nights yet to plant flower pots-those annuals just don't get along well with frost! Hopefully soon...
    Happy Mothers Day!
